Knowing God: Episode 7 God the Healer The last of our 7 week series on knowing God, Healer shines a light on the One who bore it all for us. But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. - Isaiah 53:5 (NLT) Our rebellious, sinful nature was dealt with at the foot of the cross. We are now whole and healed, not because of anything we did but because of what Jesus did. And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. - 1 Peter 2:24 (NASB) The healing power of God through His one and only son didn’t begin at the cross. Jesus moved in miracles, signs, and wonders throughout his ministry. The same compassion which ultimately moved him to carry out His father’s wishes, healed many who came to him. So when Jesus landed he had a huge crowd waiting for him. Seeing so many people, his heart was deeply moved with compassion toward them, so he healed all the sick who were in the crowd. - Matthew 14:14 (TPT) As you look upon our healer, what stirs in your heart?
