Healing After Suicide Loss | From Breaking Self-Commitments to Honoring Self-Commitments
from Healing After Suicide Loss with Jon Leclerc, The Suicide Loss Coach | MUSIC ;n HEAL · host Jon Leclerc, The Suicide Loss Coach
My dear fellow suicide loss survivor,This message is for suicide loss survivors seeking healing, emotional safety, and hopeful support after loss.In today's episode, we explore something many survivors carry after grief and survival mode: The painful feeling that you can't trust your own word anymore. After suicide loss, many survivors can still keep commitments to others. We show up for professors, friends, work, family, and outside expectations, but when it comes to the promises we make to ourselves, follow-through often breaks down. Over time, that can train our brain to expect self-disappointment instead of self-trust.For a long time, I lived inside that pattern too. I kept breaking promises to myself until my brain expected it. Healing didn't deepen when I made bigger plans or demanded more discipline from myself. Healing deepened when I began honoring smaller self-commitments I could actually keep and started rebuilding self-trust one follow-through at a time.In this episode, I share how my healing shifted when I stopped making self-commitments from the perspective of a Past Self used to disappointment and started making commitments I could honor with my Future Self and my Soul Angels. This episode reflects the MUSIC ;n HEAL Approach as a trauma-informed, survivor-led pathway to emotional safety, suicide loss support, nervous system regulation, spiritual connection, and post-traumatic growth after suicide loss, without forcing giant plans or unrealistic pressure. You'll hear why healing doesn't deepen when we keep rehearsing self-disappointment, and why healing grows when we start honoring small self-commitments that rebuild self-trust and teach our nervous system safety and predictability. You'll learn:✨ why many survivors can keep external commitments more easily than self-commitments✨ how grief and survival mode can train our brain to expect self-disappointment✨ why huge plans often fail and damage self-trust further✨ how the 95 percent confidence decision guide helps build real follow-through✨ why small, honored commitments can rebuild identity over timeThis episode is for suicide loss survivors seeking healing after suicide loss through gentle, trauma-informed support. We explore emotional healing after loss, nervous system safety, music-based integration, spiritual connection, and sustainable healing habits that support post-traumatic growth without pressure or shame.🌱 Ready to create safer healing rhythms?🎥 Prefer YouTube?
