Healing From Breast Implant Illness With Brittany Muchko

from A Teaspoon of Healing · host Dawn DiMare

Thousands of women get breast implants every year, and most women have no problems with them. A percentage of women, however, experience a host of symptoms - from fatigue, hair loss, anxiety, depression, chest pain, digestive distress, eczema, autoimmune conditions, and even acne - resulting from their breast implants. These symptoms can be lumped together as breast implant illness (BII). My guest, holistic health coach and former bikini competitor Brittany Muchko shares her healing journey from breast implant illness. After being happy with her implants for two years, she began to experience symptoms - digestive upset, eczema, acne, excruciating fatigue - and began her search for a doctor that would take her symptoms seriously. She eventually had explant surgery, where her implants were removed, and over time, she began to heal. She shares her journey back to optimum health on this episode. We also talk about her time in bikini competitions, and how she switched from extreme, punishing diets to a more holistic way of eating. Brittany is now a holistic health coach who helps women lose weight and beat bloating without dieting.
