With over 20 years of experience in clinical practice and research, she directs the Resilience and Disparities (RAD) Lab, where she studies how early experiences, culture, and identity influence mental health and resilience.Her forthcoming book, (dis)Honor Thy Mother: Daughterhood, Dysfunction, and Deliverance (Wiley, 2025), examines how strained mother-daughterrelationships often stem from unresolved trauma, including childhood abuse, neglect, or emotional abandonment.
