Health is a skill! No excuses! | Kevin Brewer | Rise Again From The Struggle

from Rise Again From The Struggle · host Kevin Brewer

Mental health is a scam. Yeah, I said it.Very few people have true mental health issues. You can pretend that's not true because modern psychologists need consistent patient loads. But it's true. Most just lack the skill of understanding how to accept reality and process their emotions.I get it. I used to have multiple panic attacks daily with my nervous system spiraling. My mind still remembers that, and my thoughts still tend towards anxiety and panic.Every time I have pain in my chest, back, or ribs, I still IMMEDIATELY think I'm dying of a heart attack. But now I have the ability to recognize this flawed thought pattern and redirect it. I know how to break the pattern with logic and analysis of why the pain is there. I can accept the emotion and see what it's telling me to pay attention to. Then I can get back to life.Your diagnosis is meant to help you understand the skill you should build. It was never meant to be your copout for behaving like an asshole and expecting others to treat you like a child. No excuses! Kevin BrewerRise Again From The Struggle
