Rosenthal is the author of eight books. He addresses health conditions such as Head, Neck & Facial Pain, Dentures & Partials, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Tinnitus, Migraines and ear related problems. He is a  graduate of Georgetown University School of Dentistry. After Graduation he went into practice in Norfolk, Virginia. After eight years of general dental practice he went into teaching at the University of Kentucky Dental School. At Kentucky, he held a dual appointment in the Division of Occlusion, where he was the Course Director of the Head, Neck and Facial Pain course for graduate and undergraduate dental students. He has published a number of  articles in scholarly dental journals. Dr. Rosenthal's other appointment was to  the Oral Diagnosis and Oral Medicine Department, where he was responsible for the development and teaching of the schools course in Treatment Planning.
