He has MS in biochemistry, DO Osteopathic physician, rotating internship- Providence Hospital, Seattle; solo practice in the rural logging town of 5000 with a 32-bed hospital, residence in anatomic and clinical pathology-Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio; Clinical Pathology University of Oregon, Portland, Oregon. He began doing bone marrow evaluations in 1968, 1969 spent 3 months in the Department of Donnell Thomas MD who won the Nobel prize for his work on bone marrow transplantation.
