Dr. Buchwald is Professor Emeritus of Surgery and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota. He is a veteran, world-renowned metabolic surgeon, author, professor and patient healthcare advocate. His book “Healthcare Upside Down: A Critical Examination of Policy and Practice” was born out of Dr. Buchwald’s observations of the healthcare industry over the last 50 years.
