Healthy Heart // pt 2

There's an expression about having "itching ears." In its slang form, having "itching ears" means that a person is eager to hear any and everything. In 2 Timothy 4:3-4, Paul wrote, "For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear what they want to hear. They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths." The key to having a healthy heart is to not allow it to develop "itching ears." In today's sermon, we continue to explore how nurturing our spiritual health is essential to our walk with God. Just as we avoid certain foods, we need to guard our ears to avoid unhealthy audio. To achieve this, our hearts must remain postured towards God as we have to rely on Jesus Christ to maintain a healthy heart.
