On this episode, two E-Club leaders Pablo Cueva and Daniel Morales chat with Jacob Awkwal, a UT Dallas a biomedical engineering senior, an aspiring MD-Phd student and finally, the co-founder of Glaucomedi: a healthcare startup focused on developing a drainage device to treat glaucoma by reducing eye pressure. Glaucomedi won 1st place at the annual Big Idea competition, the largest university startup pitch competition in North Texas. On this episode, Jacob shares about his entrepreneurial journey and how he aims to drive change as a future physician and researcher. This episode is the perfect example of how diverse the entrepreneurship community is and how anyone from any major can take their first step in their own entrepreneurial journey!
