HEAR Journaling - 1 Corinthians Chapter 1 Highlight - 1 Corinthians 1 New Living Translation 4 I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus.5 Through him, God has enriched your church in every way—with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge. 6 This confirms that what I told you about Christ is true. 7 Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. 8 He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. 9 God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Explain – Paul writes to the believers in the church in Corinth explaining that they have every spiritual gift they need as they serve the Lord until His return. He promises that the Lord will keep them strong to the end, being free of all blame. Apply – Those of us that have accepted Jesus as Savior, and faithfully and obediently abide in Him, will endure with Him until we see Him at our passing or His coming, either way it will be a glorious day. We must endure to the end. Matthew 24:13 ESV But the one who endures to the end will be saved. Respond – Lord, thank You for saving me, I strive to abide in You to endure to the end in the joy and fulfillment that can only come in a life in You.
