Hearing with Faith - Audio

Big Idea - S - Do we receive the Spirit, grow to full maturity in Christ, and experience the miraculous work of the Spirit in our life by keeping the law in the flesh, or by our faith in the Gospel? It is faith in "Christ crucified" that results in the life-transforming work of the Spirit, not the law carried out in the flesh. Our faith in the Gospel and our response of faith brings about three great results in the life of every believer. First, at the the very beginning the Holy Spirit indwells us from the moment we believe and are made righteous through the work of Christ. Second, at the end of our journey, we are made perfect and complete by a life fully transformed according to God’s highest purpose and plan for us, and in all the in-between the Holy Spirit is at work in ways that we can see and experience. This is all accomplished, not be keeping the law int he flesh, but by our faith in Christ crucified. So, we must guard against leaving the way of the Spirit and falling into the way of the flesh and the law.
