Heart Over Head
from The Living Truth Fellowship
Marc Dickie emphasizes that true effectiveness in ministry comes from the heart, not just intellect or theological knowledge. Quoting Grace from the Heart, he stressed that great preachers are made in the “closet” of prayer, not the classroom. An hour of prayer, he said, can do more than hours of study. Sharing his own journey, Marc reflected on how prayer revealed both God’s heart and his own weaknesses. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 12, he highlighted that God’s grace is sufficient and that real transformation begins when God reshapes our hearts. He challenged believers to prioritize prayer, love God deeply, and let that love overflow to others. In closing, Marc urged the fellowship to seek a more intimate relationship with God—because it’s from that place of prayer that lasting impact flows.
