Heart Therapy: Hadith (35) The Heart & the Grave

Explanation of the 35th hadith in the Heart Therapy Series:The Prophet salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam said: (I forbade you to visit the graveyards, so [now] visit them, for they soften the heart and bring tears to the eye; and don’t say something wrong.)Reported by Ahmad (13487) and al-Hakim (1393). Al-Albani graded it as a Sahih (Sahih al-Jami‘ 4584), and so did Shu‘ayb al-Arna‘ut.قال رسولُ اللهِ ﷺ: (كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيارَةِ القُبورِ ألا فَزُورُوها فَإِنَّها تُرِقُّ القَلْبَ و تُدْمِعُ العَيْنَ وتُذَكِّرُ الآخِرَةَ وَلا تَقُولُوا هُجْرًا) رواه أحمد (13487) والحاكم (1393) وصححه الألباني (صحيح الجامع 4584) وشعيب الأرناؤوط
