Heather Crouthamel Interview | Osby Scott CaseOsby Scott, also known as Cortez or No-No, a 52-year-old Cleveland man, was given a life sentence for killing a man and injuring a woman and a dog in a December 2019 shooting. Scott was collecting a $200 debt from Dillard Kennedy, 44, when an argument broke out and Scott shot Kennedy in the chest. He then kicked in the door to the bedroom where Kennedy's girlfriend was and shot her. The second shot also hit the couple's dog. A jury convicted Scott of aggravated murder, attempted murder, and other charges in May, but acquitted him of cruelty against a companion animal. Scott will be eligible for parole after serving 31 years in prison. The woman, who testified at trial that Kennedy declared his love for her as he died, and the dog were treated for their injuries.
