Biography: Heather Hart received her BSN from Belmont University in 2009 and began her nursing career at Skyline Medical Center on the Cardiology Step-Down floor. There she advanced to a charge nurse position where she developed a love for critical care nursing. She accepted a position at the Vanderbilt Surgical ICU in 2012 where she also worked as a charge nurse and later took on the role of Clinical Staff Leader.  She has chaired several committees at Vanderbilt including the SICU Performance Improvement Committee, SICU Quality Subcommittee, and Nurse Champion Subcommittee for the Organ Donation Advisory Council at Vanderbilt. During her tenure in the SICU she was awarded the Rosamund Gabrielsson VUMC Staff Nurse of the Year in May 2016.
