Have you ever watched a video of a child getting a cochlear implant and hearing for the first time? Typically the parent’s first words to their child are about their identity. They tell them their name and how loved they are. God wants us to turn on our listening hearts so He can tell us the same things. He wants to tell us our identity and our worth, and wants to offer direction to our lives. But we must have a God-listening heart to truly hear what He is saying.  How do you determine what is a good idea and what is God’s idea? It is a question we’ve all asked and wrestled with, especially when navigating our purpose in life. This is where discernment comes in.
