Heathers (1988)
from The VHS Strikes Back Hosted by Whatever Entertainment
Heather's is an absolute favorite of our great friend and Patreon supporter Tony Farina of Indie Comics Spotlight. This cult classic originally flopped at the box office but developed a huge following after that. Directed by Michael Lehmann, written by Daniel Waters and starring Winona Ryder, Christian Slater and Shannen Doherty this one certainly divides opinion! If you enjoy the show we have a Patreon, become a supporter. www.patreon.com/thevhsstrikesback Plot Summary: A regular girl, Veronica, tries to survive the social jungle of high school by sticking with the three most popular girls at school who are all called Heather. As she meets a sociopath named JD, her life spirals into a continuous cycle of hate, unintentional murder and indifference, as she exacts revenge on her enemies, also known as her best friends.
