Heavenly Design

What does God's design for the Old Testament Jewish Temple have to do with our Christian Faith? Why should a modern day Christian care about the temple's Holy of Holies, or the Brazen altar? For many believers they know what they are expected to believe when attending church but most don't understand why they believe what they believe. Why do you believe that Jesus's death on the cross cleanses you of your sin? We can look at the old Testament where Adam and Eve sinned against God. We see that God had to cover their shame with a sacrifice of an animal. We see that in the old testament jewish temple before anyone could move closer to God they had to sacrifice an animal and put it on the altar for their sins.
