There’s a ton of jokes surrounding the guilt Catholics burden themselves with: we feel like we have to meet a certain set of standards, and be perfect at everything in order to gain admittance to heaven, to be considered good enough. Conversely, there’s a large push in the secular world to stop judging ourselves so harshly, that we are already enough. So which one is it?
