Hebrews 12:1

Considering all we've covered in our "Persevering Faith" series, Pastor Lance now moves into Hebrews 12 and addresses what a believer is to do next. How are we to run the race of life, as a Christian, in a wicked and dying world that opposes the God we serve? Pastor Lance asserts that how we view God today determines how we will live our life tomorrow. Fearing God leads to wisdom, and teaches us how to walk rightly with Him. That includes throwing off the things that weigh us down and entangle us as we push towards the finish line. We must have singleminded focus and devotion for Christ! Pastor Lance stresses the vital importance of God's Word - our map as we run the race of life. When we spend time in His Word, the more we pour it into our hearts and minds, that is what will come out when we're shaken up. How do you respond in turbulence, when the earth shakes?
