Hebrews 12:4-29 “The Christian and Divine Chastening”

Speaker: Pastor Patrick J Griffiths Christians  are to be encouraged in persecution because it is part of God’s loving  purpose for their lives.  That is the message of Hebrews 12.  This  passage has often been looked to as a pivotal passage to “prove” God  will chasten His people for their sins.  Yet, in light of all that is  found in the doctrines of justification, redemption, propitiation, union  with Christ, and THE NEW WAY OF THE SPIRIT, this cannot be.  The  context of Hebrews 12 reveals its true meaning.
