Hebrews 3:7-13 Warning Against Unbelief

In this episode, we continue our study in Hebrews 3 and examine the writer’s serious warning to the people of God: beware of an evil heart of unbelief that leads to departure from the living God. Building from Psalm 95, the writer shows that the wilderness generation heard God’s voice, saw His works, yet hardened their hearts and failed to respond in faith.This study focuses on the urgency of “Today”—the present moment in which God is speaking and His people must respond. We consider how the Holy Spirit still speaks through Scripture, how sin deceives and hardens the heart, and why unbelief is not neutral but spiritually dangerous. The episode also highlights God’s appointed safeguard against hardening: daily encouragement and exhortation within the community of faith.While it is still called Today, we are called to hear God’s voice, guard our hearts, and help one another remain responsive to the living God.
