Hebrews Chapters 5-7

In this episode, we read Epistle to the Hebrews chapters 5 through 7, where the writer explains the role of Jesus Christ as our perfect High Priest. Chapter 5 describes how Jesus fulfills the role of High Priest with compassion and obedience, even through suffering. Believers are encouraged to grow spiritually and move beyond spiritual immaturity. Chapter 6 contains a strong warning against falling away while also offering hope and confidence in God’s promises and faithfulness. The writer points to God’s unchanging nature as a secure foundation for believers. In chapter 7, Jesus is compared to Melchizedek, showing that Christ’s priesthood is eternal and greater than the priesthood established under the old covenant. Hebrews 5–7 reminds us that Jesus is our perfect and eternal High Priest, fully able to save and intercede for those who place their trust in Him.
