Hebrews: Priesthood and Assurance
from The Living Truth Fellowship
Marc Dickie shared on Hebrews, focusing on the concept of the priesthood and its application to believers. He discussed how Abraham's role as a priest predated the Levitical priesthood and emphasized the responsibility of fathers to lead their families in prayer and right living. Marc explored the royal priesthood of Jesus Christ, comparing him to Melchizedek and highlighting his role as a mediator and intercessor. He also addressed the topic of eternal security, clarifying that Hebrews 6 does not teach that believers can lose their salvation but rather emphasizes the finality of Jesus' sacrifice. Marc concluded by emphasizing the importance of living out one’s identity in Christ and the assurance of salvation that comes through Jesus’ perfect sacrifice.
