Hechos 15 CEB

from Luke-Acts CEB (Common English Bible) · host Lucius from Cyrene, one of the prophets and teachers at Antioch

The Jerusalem council do we think that this was a good idea for them to have these various stipulations. The stipulation of avoiding food offered to idols, especially in Light of some of Paul’s letters, and his discussion of the food offer titles. Do we think that the idea of eating blood or eating meat from strangled. Animals is also a good idea. Do we think that the sexual immorality is a good idea. It’s interesting that everything has to do with what enters our body in terms of eating. I guess I guess with blood. It’s drinking and sacks what we do with our bodies has an impact. I guess it’s interesting that some of the stipulations that aren’t said he doesn’t say well. I guess those are the things to avoid the things to do loving people and loving. God aren’t stated. It’s also very interesting that Sabbath observance is not stated, of course circumcision, which was kind of one of the key issues isn’t stated. It’s interesting that they picked all of these things. Of course, circumcision is also something that is Done on the body. And yet James, some of James. Reasoning is connected to Moses being proclaimed, and all these different cities. And I just wonder if this is a good idea of them saying these for stipulations or not. Should there have been more stipulations? Should there have been less? What does it mean to allow the Holy Spirit to speak it does seem that they say that the Holy Spirit led them to the decision to suggest I guess at least that they avoid these things of eating and and things related to their bodies eating and sexual matters. Of course sexual immorality is. I guess taken for granted that it’s obvious what that is. I don’t know how obvious that was in the room in the world. I guess that’s another question. What would be obvious to a Roman about what sexual am morality is it might yeah that’s a good question. Anyway, I’m just sort of thinking through this ladder because this letter has an impact later on an ax course has impact. Now now we have an issue with sexually immorality Jesus, in the book of Luke said that any man who divorces his wife, and Mary is another commits. Adultery. Well, that would be sexual in morality. Well, we just so happen to be in a world where there’s quite a number of men, not to mention women who divorce their spouse, and then Mary, another that’s somewhat common. In fact, that primen in the George would say nothing at all about that. That’s actually one of the Main examples in the books of Luke, and acts of sexual immorality and right here in this connection seems to be one of the main examples. Like I said, in the book of Luke and acts on what sexual immorality it, so does that mean that today people need to stop divorcing their wives and marrying somebody else. I don’t know it’s interesting. Isn’t it when we think of sexual morality. We might think of other things. Of course homosexuality is something that in the George historically has been focused on of what sexual immorality is, but of course, watching cheerleaders dance around a football games. It’s been something that we really haven’t focused on, and definitely not divorcing someone in Maring. Somebody else those. According to the American, George at least seem to be somewhat totally fine. Accepted and so I guess we just wanna ask this question and allow the Holy Spirit to speak. You know. I don’t want to say what Danny thinks. I want to say. What does the Holy Spirit think about me and my sexual immorality. The thoughts that are in my head of sexual immorality. I guess that could be sexual immorality too. Jesus seems to suggest that, at least in the book of Mathieu. Then it is the thought in the hart. If you lost after a woman in your heart, you’ve committed adultery this idea of sexual immorality. I guess one I thought that I have on this whole topic of sexual immorality is. I also just wondered if I could actually fill up this entire comment section and use up all of the ladders and I think that I have actually done.
