Heidi Myers, Founder of Rasputitsa Spring Classic

from Fever Talk

Heidi Myers is the co-founder of the Rasputitsa Spring Classic gravel event. I wanted to talk to Heidi because I really like her perspective on bike racing, and as a race organizer in the rapidly-growing discipline of gravel, she has a front-row seat in seeing how the discipline is evolving. Heidi spends a lot of time thinking about how to make cycling more inclusive and fun for more people, so I wanted to pick her brains on that. We talk about how putting friendship, community & environment at the forefront of their business values ended up making Rasputitsa one of the biggest gravel event in the country. Finally we talk about the fact that Heidi was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson Disease at the age of 37, how living with this disease changed her perspective, and why it's important for her to be open about how she lives with that disease.
