Held by the God Who Is Faithful (Epilogue 4, Finale): Philippians 1:3-6: Day 25

Our confidence isn't in our ability to hold onto God perfectly, but in God's faithfulness to finish the work He began in us. As we close Season 3 in 1 Peter, I want to leave you with a truth that has been underneath everything we've studied:God finishes what He begins.Peter told suffering believers that the God of all grace would restore, strengthen, and establish them. Paul gives us that same confidence in Philippians:"He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."That's good news because our hope has never ultimately depended on how well we hold onto God. It depends on God holding onto us.There will be days when your faith feels strong. There will be days when you feel like you're barely hanging on. There will be seasons when you can see God clearly. And seasons when you wonder where He is. But through all of them, God is still working.So as we finish 1 Peter, we don't have to leave with everything figured out.We can leave with confidence in the One who is still writing our story.He started it.He is sustaining it.And He will finish it.Reflection:  As you finish 1 Peter, what is one truth you want to carry with you into the next season?
