'Helene'

The devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Helene is beyond words. Entire towns have been swept away, thousands of Americans have been displaced, and hundreds have lost their lives. The hardest-hit areas are in southern Appalachia, including Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee. Many residents remain without power, and washed-out roads have left them stranded without access to food, water, medicine, and other lifesaving supplies. The challenging terrain complicates rescue efforts, making it difficult to reach those trapped in the mountains. It has already been a week, and for some, every day is a matter of life or death. How is the Biden-Harris administration responding to this disaster, and were they prepared? How are Americans coming together to support their neighbors in this crisis?
