Helix Exploration CEO on hitting continuous production at Rudyard, calls Keyes 'a game changer'

Helix Exploration plc (AIM:HEX, OTCQB:HEXFF) CEO Bo Sears spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about reaching continuous production at the Rudyard project, revenue generation from the Keyes facility and the company's plans to expand its US helium position. Sears said hitting continuous production at Rudyard is a key milestone, with the plant running seamlessly and wells performing well at high pressure — a step that sets Helix apart from explorers yet to reach production. "It's a wonderful development for us at Helix," he said, adding the company has proven it has "a real great asset here at Rudyard." He also pointed to the Keyes facility as "a game changer" for Helix, noting helium liquefaction capacity is costly to replace and gives the company a unique position in the sector. Keyes can also generate revenue by tolling gas from other explorers for liquefaction and distribution. At Rudyard, Sears said further development will involve drilling additional wells and adding membrane units to boost gas throughput and revenue, noting every well drilled there so far has been successful. Looking ahead, Sears said Helix plans to pursue further exploration across the mid-continent US as it looks to help meet domestic helium demand amid constrained supply.
