Moreover, hell will continue to burn because it cannot fully make up for the sins committed against God.   Joseph also points out that the devil's actions were so severe that only God could fix them. That's why Jesus, the Son of God, came to save humanity and destroy the works of the devil. Anyone who accepts Jesus will be saved from hell's punishment.
