Hello Movies, My Old Friend: Episode 104 - Brotherhood of The Wolf

It's a brand-new year here at HELLO MOVIES, MY OLD FRIEND and that means a whole new slate to helpfully quench our nostalgic thirst! To kick things off, Ray and Rob are revisiting a film that still amazes Rob to this day that he was able to get Ray into a theater to see. It's the 2002 French action-horror film BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF.  The movie centers on Gregoire De Fronsac and his man Friday Mani, an Iroquois warrior who are both sent by King Louis XV to investigate a rash of murders by a mysterious beast in the county of Gevaudan. As the beast becomes more elusive, and the details of the attacks become murky, the layers of the larger mystery begin to unfold to reveal a shocking finale. Anchored by supporting performances from Vincent Cassel (LA HAINE, IRREVERSIBLE) and Monica Bellucci (THE MATRIX, IRREVERSIBLE), this swashbuckling epic explores the debate between faith and science and begs the question, does it have to be seen to be believed?  Will the dated CGI effects ruin this once loved classic? Or will the fearless genre bending be enough to capture Ray and Rob's hearts once again?
