Hello Movies, My Old Friend: Episode 108 - Best of The Best

For our May Episode of HELLO MOVIES, MY OLD FRIEND, Ray and Rob are revisiting a classic from their childhood, the 1990 martial arts sports drama, BEST OF THE BEST. This was a staple of both of their youths but a film they haven't revisited in roughly 30 years! This drama is set around a team of American Martial artists lead by Tommy Lee (played by the films writer/producer Philip Rhee) and Alex Grady, portrayed by one of film's renowned journeyman, Eric Roberts (THE DARK KNIGHT, THE EXPENDABLES). As the team gears up to take on the unstoppable force of the Korean National team, the ghosts of their past and toxic interpersonal relationships threaten to throw them off their path to prove they are truly the best of the best. With supporting performances by James Earl Jones (STAR WARS, COMING TO AMERICA) and the late Chris Penn (FOOTLOOSE, RESERVOIR DOGS), this martial arts staple explores what it takes to be a team and what you're willing to sacrifice to win.  Will the classic feels remind Ray and Rob that this movie really is the BEST OF THE BEST?
