Hellraiser 2022 Commentary

We've got to cut right to the chase here... Doug Bradley is the epitome of what Pinhead has been and pretty much always will be, and nothing may ever top the impact the original Hellraiser had on fans. That being said, the rest of the series overall has never been much of a tough act to follow, being as though it's been downhill in many ways since Hellbound: Hellraiser II. While I do love the third movie, this series has been a mess for decades and all it took was another genre director to step on in and breathe new life into it. David Bruckner, based on VHS involvement alone, had my curiosity. And while I'm not the biggest fan of this series altogether, I'm down to see a gender swapped Pinhead/Hell Priest in a new take during the slasher resurgence. Enjoy, people.
