This is passage we observe an argument taking place. When Jesus asks why the people are arguing, He is met with a healing request because His disciples could not grant.   The request is from a Father with a son who has been possessed by a demon since he was a child. After seeing the faith of the Father, (imperfect as it was), Jesus heals his son. Jesus later explains to His disciples that this type of demon can only be driven out through prayer.
