from Nobel Peace Center · host Nobels Fredssenter

The refugee crisis is not over – it is just going on somewhere else. On the Greek island of Lesvos, thousands of refugees are living in camps. They depend on voluntary workers. Two of them is Efi Latsoudi and Eirini Koumpa. They came to the Nobel Peace Center to tell about their project in the Pikpa refugee camp. But how much can one single person or a private organisation do? Why don’t the bigger NGO’s and the authorities do more to help? In the panel: Trude Jacobsen, A Drop in the Ocean Sven Mollekleiv, Red Cross Norway Efi Latsoudi, Lesvos Solidarity Moderator: Liv Tørres, Nobel Peace Center Norwegian photographer Knut Bry recently visited the Moria refugee camp, where 4000 people are living in tents and containers without heating.
