An Odyssey Sound Session with hemlocke springs. hemlocke springs is Isimeme 'Naomi' Udu, the first-generation American daughter of Nigerian parents, raised on the outskirts of Charlotte, North Carolina. Having completed a master's degree in medical informatics at Dartmouth last year, hemlocke springs has taken over the alt-pop scene with her wild, wacky and wonderful songs. We have had her viral single 'girlfriend' on repeat for months, so we invited hemlocke onto the show to discuss the songs that have inspired her production and songwriting.
