Henry CO Iowa BOS Meeting 4 30 2026

On this VIDEO episode of Southeast Iowa Today it’s the last Thursday of the month and John Bain attended the Henry County Board of Supervisors weekly meeting at the Henry County Courthouse in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Always a lot on the agenda, but the supervisors kept it to just under an hour. On the Agenda: Auditors office working on yearly reporting of ARPA as required, start discussions on battery energy storage systems/data mining systems/ solar energy systems for appropriate ordinances or moratorium until ordinance language can be formulated. FY 2026/2027 Budget Approval has been made, committee updates, the always busy Henry County Engineer Jake Hotchkiss, County Attorney Becky Wilson shared personnel updates, an Absolute Security alarms field check report was given, some liquor licenses were recognized and all followed by public comment. It happened April 30, 2026.
