Years later, her mother fell and entered rehab, where Sheila saw many of the same challenges she had experienced decades earlier.She knew there had to be a better way.When Sheila discovered that no one was developing the solution she envisioned, she decided to build it herself.Upmo is designed to autonomously travel to a patient, much like a self-driving vehicle or Roomba, and use a specialized harness to help patients with mobility when they are able to participate.
