Herbert Drayton, HI Mark Capital

HI Mark Capital is a new Charleston-based venture fund launched by Herbert Drayton III. Over the past 15 years, Herbert has founded, bought, and sold a dozen companies in the software, healthcare, IT, and training sectors. The aim of his latest venture, HI Mark Capital, is to raise a $15 million fund for Black, brown, and women-owned businesses, an ownership group that is underrepresented in the Southeast in part because of challenges to accessing capital.
