When I mentioned that I was going to the country of Namibia to spend time in the world's oldest desert, people asked questions such as, "Where is that?", "Why?", "Are you crazy?"I somewhat expected that.After a 15 hour flight from ATL - JNB and then a 2 hour flight to WDH, I was in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia.I hired a driver for the 5 hour trip to the Desert Hills Lodge in the Namib Desert, which has been there for 55 million years.Breathtaking scenery kept my GoPro camera busy.I climbed the world's highest sand dune, took a ride in a hot air balloon, became isolated on the top of a mountain, climbed into a canyon, saw several native animals, and enjoyed the magnificent sunsets. Remember these names.
