Here's The Thing

Special guest Rev. Jackie Dougherty, Spiritual Leader for CSL Berks, talk from Jan 8, 2017: We're part of a Universal Wholeness, an Infinite Life, Power and Intelligence. Ernest Holmes chose to call God "The Thing Itself," thus avoiding any anthropomorphic concept of God. This "Thing" is the only thing - the one Substance everything is made of, and the Cause of everything. It is pure Spirit, invisible, without form, yet more real than anything we see. Thomas Troward said, "We cannot account for the things we can see unless we assume the existence of other things we cannot see." And the thing is, we're part of this Wholeness - how awesome!
