"Here's to Your Health" Hammond-Henry Hospital Volunteer Supervisor Kathleen VanDeRostyne Talks Volunteer Services

Kathleen VanDeRostyne joined Tom Katz for "Here's To Your Health" on Wake Up Tri-Counties to honor the many volunteers at Hammond-Henry Hospital. This week on "Here's to Your Health," Hammond Henry Hospital shines a spotlight on its dedicated volunteers as part of Volunteer Appreciation Week. Kathleen VanDeRostyne, volunteer supervisor, shared that the hospital relies on 150 active volunteers to staff roles ranging from shuttle driving to the gift shop and information desks. Volunteers collectively contributed more than 7,000 hours last year—saving the hospital significant resources. The hospital also nurtures future healthcare workers through scholarships and a junior volunteer program. An annual luncheon and award ceremony will celebrate milestone service hours, and recruitment efforts are key as the volunteer community continues to grow and evolve.
