Early Christians thought that it was important to believe the right things about faith, and to point out the wrong beliefs. They called these wrong beliefs heresy. We have inherited a pretty negative view of that word. Heretic denotes people who are judgmental or close-minded. But in reality, these early Christians were simply trying to point out why certain beliefs didn’t best represent God. In this series, we will explore modern day “heresies” – beliefs that are arrived at in good faith but may have unintended implications for our faith in God.
