Inconsciemment, nous courons vers le familier plutôt que vers le sain. Une personne ayant grandi avec un parent distant sera magnétiquement attirée par un partenaire émotionnellement indisponible. Ce n'est pas du masochisme, c'est une tentative inconsciente de rejouer le scénario pour réparer l'histoire. Le risque ? Rester prisonnier d'une boucle où l'on s'épuise à vouloir être « assez ».Heureusement, comprendre ce schéma est le début de la liberté. Se libérer ne veut pas dire blâmer ses parents, mais se responsabiliser : nous ne sommes pas coupables de nos blessures d'enfance, mais nous sommes responsables de ce que nous choisissons d'en faire aujourd'hui. Et pour éviter de transmettre ces fardeaux à nos enfants, oubliez la perfection. Ce qui sécurise un enfant, ce n'est pas un parent infaillible, c'est la réparation.
