Heritage Day is a South African public holiday celebrated on 24 September. On this day, South Africans are encouraged to celebrate their culture and the diversity of their beliefs and traditions. South Africa’s president Cyril Ramaphosa delivered a keynote address virtually under the theme “Celebrating South Africa’s Living Human Treasure. He has also meanwhile urged the nation to take up the Jerusalema challenge on Heritage Day as a form of celebration.
