Hermetic
from Hermetic Tradition: Osiris to Franklin Hosted by Roger Weir
This lecture explores the profound continuity between the ancient Hermetic tradition and the mystical core of Christianity, tracing an unbroken spiritual lineage from the Egyptian mysteries of Thoth and the Pyramid Texts through Plotinus, Dionysius the Areopagite, and into Christian and Islamic mysticism. Examining the esoteric teachings of The Ecclesiastical Hierarchy, Roger reveals how Hermetic wisdom survived through symbolic language, sacred initiation, illumination, and “mind-to-mind” spiritual communion, ultimately shaping the hidden foundations of Christian theology, Gnosticism, Neoplatonism, and Sufism. Far from being merely historical, this tradition is presented as a living spiritual matrix — a path of transformation, initiation, and direct experience that challenges the fragmented modern mind and points toward a rediscovery of sacred wholeness at the heart of human consciousness.
