Hershberger Cattle and Cabinets: How Hobbies Turned into Passions

We welcome Gary Hershberger on today's episode of From the Pasture with Hired Hand. Gary is the owner of Hershberger Cattle Company that is located in Holmes Country, Ohio.  In September 2001, Gary started a hobby of raising Longhorns. In 2015 he improved his herd by purchasing higher quality cows and Gary started an A.I. breeding & an embryo program. In September of 2020, he saw the fruits of his longhorn labor and Gary sold a two year old heifer for $20,000 and ended up with a few futurity wins. In addition to raising Longhorns, Gary raises Labrador Retrievers and builds beautiful custom furniture and cabinetry.
