Heu-Heu, or the Monster Chapter 7 - The Walloo

In which the narrator and his companions journey through a silent, eerie river gorge to the realm of the Walloo, encountering mysterious and fearsome creatures of the forest that call themselves Hairy Men. Upon arriving in the somber, ancient town ruled by a melancholy chief and his noble daughter, they learn of a dreadful ritual and the desperate plight of a dying people caught between savage forces and fading customs.
