Heu-Heu, or the Monster Chapter 9 - The Feast

In which the strangers, bearing the wonder of "magic fire," gain entry to the island of Heu-Heu and are welcomed with cautious reverence by the priests, notably the imposing Dacha, as they partake in a feast marked by curious customs and intoxicating rites. Amidst whispered warnings and veiled intrigues, the guests observe with sharpened senses the fading remnants of a once-civilised people struggling beneath the weight of ancient gods and fearful traditions.
